Book Villa Cetinale VILLA: Memoir of a House in Tuscany

After inheriting a 17th-century Tuscan villa, Ned Lambton and his wife, Marina, lovingly restored the property as a retreat for family and friends. With recently commissioned photographs by Simon Upton, Lambton brings to life the villa's rich history, its redecoration, its raucous history and, above all, the dream of owning and renovating a Tuscan villa.

Located on the outskirts of Siena, Italy, Villa Cetinale is nestled among vineyards, silvery olive groves and wooded hills that have remained largely untouched since the late 17th century, when Cardinal Flavio Chigi, nephew of Pope Alexander VII, expanded what was a modest home from farm to the villa we see today.
