Mónica Penaguião's work reflects her creativity and daring. Her pieces are based on the diversity and inspiration of the most distinguished places.

Poeira Design is his interior decoration atelier that extends from Lisbon to various corners of the world and has gained the accent of each of the places where he has been — from Brazil, through the United States, to Spain.

Mónica signs interior design projects for both private clients and companies and sells author pieces — found in the most varied parts of the globe.

She regularly develops her own line, DesignPoeira, with furniture, rugs, fabric collections, wallpapers and lamps. Mónica does not follow any defined style nor does she believe that there are “forbidden objects”. Its projects reflect the harmony of its identity, always seeking to convey a sense of well-being in each new work.

Internationally recognized, she has appeared in magazines such as Vogue (Brazil and Portugal), Elle Portugal, Elle Decoration Italia, AD Architectural Digest Spain, Casa Claudia Brazil, Time Out Lisbon and Ideat France.

Fruit of a lot of love for work, Poeira Design is a dream that comes true every day. Mónica Penaguião opened her first Poeira in a house borrowed by her uncle, on Rua das Janelas Verdes, in Lisbon. Amazing: she was only 15 years old! It started out as a joke and boldness of his personality, where he sold everything — from buttons to tables and sofas. All you had to do was find something you liked—it didn't matter what, or for what purpose; that she left to the buyers. I'd like to question why someone chooses this or that piece.

Over time, Poeira emancipated itself, earned the nickname Design and grew — perhaps not so much in size, but in the sense that it grew in the world. Mónica left a trail of her projects in Brazilian cities, such as Rio de Janeiro (both in its capital, where she had a branch, and in the municipalities of Vassouras and Paraty) and São Paulo; in New York and Ibiza he also walked and now, in Lisbon — where he had the opportunity to work in Sintra, Arrábida, Costa da Caparica, in addition to other places inside Portugal.

At this moment, Poeira has just arrived at a new address — the ground floor of a building in the Lapa area. In the basement, other equally vibrant stores selected by Mónica herself are coming up. Practically a shopping center, isn't it? Baptized Lapa71, this is the new home of Mónica and Poeira Design — at least for now.
